Queen’s Birthday at Ferrymead Heritage park!
Last Monday was the Queens Birthday, It’s a public holiday here in New Zealand and we spent it at Ferrymead Heritage park. A beautiful day with the trams, steam train, faeries and happy people everywhere!
Small businesses, food trucks and all the wonderful things to see and do, even the double decker bus was out and about with $2 rides or $5 family rides. Which of course I had to jump on and have a ride around too.
I meet the wonderful people who held stalls in the gardens of Ferrymead Heritage park, we chatted, laughed and of course I supported local and bought a couple of things too. Along with getting my face painted by the talented Magenta Wilde of Wilde Woman – face and body artist. We have some amazingly talented peeps in Christchurch and it was so wonderful to see them all at Ferrymead Heritage park.
Time2Shine Photography had a little stall, nothing too flashy, we pottered around and captured a beautiful day had, also guided a few of our regulars around the beautiful land of Ferrymead Heritage park and captured some family portraits too.
A day to remember, but the only thing missing was a hot dog and some hot chips, but never fear, I’m totally sorting that for next year.
This big kid loves food and instead got some yummy Candyfloss from the wonderful lass at the Candyfloss and ice-cream truck. She was amazing, friendly and I got to select which colour Candyfloss I wanted too. So many choices, but I chose blue!
All and all it was a wicked day had,
Wonderful people I did get to meet!
Laughs, smiles, happy kids and face painting all round. What better way to celebrate the Queens Birthday then at Ferrymead Heritage park with all the wonderful activities.
