Time2Shine Photography presents the ultimate Christchurch Time2ShineChallenge: Adventure Awaits! Explore hidden gems, capture epic moments, and choose your epic finale – conquer them both!
That's right, this adventure is all about flexibility! Stroll along the iconic Christchurch Pier, enjoying the fresh air and harbor views. Stop for a coffee break at "Salt on the Pier" (located right on the pier) and capture a pic of your crew enjoying their delicious refreshments! Then, take a scenic drive down to Sumner and explore the dramatic rock formations at Sumner Rocks.
Here's what you'll need:
Your awesome self (and your crew, of course!)
A smartphone or camera (to capture all your epic moments!)
A copy of this list (printed or digital)
A thirst for adventure and a sprinkle of imagination!
The Challenge!
Your mission, if you choose to accept it (seriously, you totally should!), is to find and photograph these cool spots around Christchurch. Once you've snapped a pic, tick it off the list! Bonus points awarded for the most creative and epic photos!

Starting Point: Air Force Museum
Top Gun Time! Blast off to the Air Force Museum and capture a photo with the coolest aircraft you can find! Imagine you're a pilot soaring through the sky!
Barrington Park Playground Frenzy: Head to Barrington Park Playground and conquer those epic slides! Don't forget to unleash your creativity in the epic sandpit and build the most impressive sandcastle, snapping a pic of your masterpiece!
Free Parking Bonus: Park for free at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens (Rolleston Ave) for your next stop.
Garden Greenhouse Grab: Explore the amazing Christchurch Botanic Gardens and find the most incredible, weirdest, or most beautiful plant you can spot! Capture a pic of you and your plant pal. (Bonus points for the silliest pose!)
Captain Cook Catch-Up: Head to Victoria Square and find the statue of the famous explorer, Captain James Cook! Imagine you're setting sail with him on a voyage of discovery. Capture a pic of your crew standing beside the statue, ready for adventure!
Punting Posers (Optional): While you're near the Bridge of Remembrance, try to capture a pic with the punters enjoying a scenic Avon river punting! (Bonus points for a funny photobomb!)
Band Rotunda Rockstars: Head back through the Botanic Gardens and find the iconic Band Rotunda. Imagine you're a band performing for the whole city! Capture a rockstar pic of your crew belting out your favorite tunes!
The Grand Finale - Conquer Them Both!

Option 2: Sumner Rocks Scenic Snack: Take a scenic drive down to Sumner and explore the dramatic rock formations at Sumner Rocks. Capture a photo with the impressive rocks as a backdrop, or grab a bite to eat and a refreshing drink at one of the many charming Sumner Beach cafes (multiple locations available). You might even spot some playful seagulls or surfers catching a wave!
